Vasectomy is a simple, safe, and effective form of permanent birth control for those with male genitalia. This procedure causes sterility = the inability to produce offspring. Vasectomy is a gentle, office-based procedure that takes about 20 minutes to complete. Vasectomy works by blocking the tubes (vasa deferentia) that carry sperm from the testicles. This prevents sperm from entering the semen which thus prevents the ejaculate from causing pregnancy.

Premier Vasectomy offers competitive pricing for the region - $845 for same day consultation and procedure. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required at the time of scheduling for the procedure. The cost of the semen analysis (to confirm sterility) after the procedure varies but the lab we work with charges $50 for one test, and $90 for two tests.
Premier Vasectomy does not accept health insurance currently.
Most men feel some soreness for a night or two after the procedure and then feel fine. We recommend wearing tight underpants or a jock strap for the first few days after the vasectomy to decrease your discomfort and chances of bleeding.
Avoid any vigorous activity, including sports and sex, for the first 3-7 days after your vasectomy.
Vasectomy is a permanent form of contraception and should be considered irreversible. You should have a vasectomy only if you are 100% sure that for the remainder of your life you do not want to get someone pregnant.
If you are interested in reversing a vasectomy, please speak to a urologist or reversal specialist for further information. If you don't want to have a vasectomy reversal, sperm can be taken from the testicle or the epididymis and used for in vitro fertilization. These procedures are costly and may not be covered by your health insurance. Also, they do not always work. If you think you may want to have children one day, you should look into non-permanent forms of birth control before deciding to have a vasectomy. Click the link below for reversal information:
No. Vasectomy will not protect you from sexually transmitted infections. Even if semen does not contain sperm, semen can still have and transmit infections. For some types of STIs, skin-to-skin contact is all you need to get an infection from a sexual partner.
Use condoms to reduce your chances of STI contraction.
